.NAME Domain Names

Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME generic TLD is the sole TLD meant for personal web pages only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are famous by. At first, just 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wished to order john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already purchased 3rd-level names remained functional.

Through our company, you can get your dot NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to alter the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our firm if you receive its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registrar and we will renew it once the transfer has been finalized. There are no special stipulations on who can buy a dot NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the objective behind its establishment alive, the Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.

The dot NAME generic domain is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no added cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the proper spelling in your native language.
