A catch-all email mailbox is one that collects all the emails sent to nonexistent email addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Just one mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss messages because the other party has an outdated address or has made a spelling mistake. The downside of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of unsolicited bulk emails, but this issue can be resolved using anti-spam filtering software. It’s also important to remember that a mailbox with an activated catch-all functionality cannot forward inbound email messages to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

Configuring a catch-all e-mailbox will be incredibly easy if you’ve got a website hosting service with us. You can activate the feature through our powerful, yet simple-to-use Email Manager, which is an indivisible part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will manage the shared hosting account itself. You will find all the email addresses that you’ve set up shown in alphabetical order and on the right-hand side of each of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly show you if a particular mailbox gets all the emails for a certain domain name or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable the feature at any time. If there is activated email forwarding or in case another mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a specific domain, you will receive a warning notification from our system. The latter won’t replace/deactivate anything automatically and without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all functionality can be activated easily if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll find a mini symbol conveniently located right next to each one. With only one single mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with this option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and activate the feature through the context menu that will appear. If any of the conditions for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will let you know, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
